Your privacy is important to me, this privacy policy explains what personal data I collect from you, how it is stored, how I use it, and how I keep it protected. This privacy policy also explains your rights and how to contact me if you have any queries about the management of your personal information. 

What data I collect, why I need it and how I process it

Communication Data

This data includes any communication and its contents that you send to me, whether that be through the contact form on my website, email, text, social media messaging, social media posting or any other communication that you send me. My lawful ground for processing this data is my legitimate interests which in this case are to effectively communicate with you, reply to enquiries, give advice and/or answer questions, complete a booking, to keep a record of our communications as reference or in the event of pursuance or defence of legal claims.

Personal Data

This data may include your full name, email, mobile number, date of birth, home address, medical information, medication, allergies, contraindications, parental consent, skin/makeup information, photography/video opt-in, wedding information and your signature. Your personal data will be collected via the following methods and supplied by yourself.

  • Enquiry Form - For initial contact on my website.

  • Bridal Enquiry Form - A more detailed form (for bridal clients only) sent to you for more information after initial contact. This form is an online form and will be sent to you in a link via your chosen email.

  • Client consultation Forms and Covid-19 Forms - After you’ve secured your booking, you must fill out and submit these forms before your appointment. This form is an online form and will be sent to you in a link via your chosen email.

The forms above have been created via Wix and Wix Ascend and will be kept for 7 years as requested by my insurance company.My lawful ground for processing this data is to comply with legal and contractual obligations. It enables me to complete and process your booking, provide you with the best service possible and allow me to do my job effectively and safely.

 

Photography & Video

As part of my service, I may need to take photographs as reference, during trials for example. Only when I have your consent for makeup photography/video will this data possibly be used for training, marketing, or promotional uses across all social media platforms (which may be shared multiple times by various people), for websites or magazines without limitations or timescale. Consent for photos and videos is obtained by an opt-in section on your consultation form. Where I am required to credit photographers and other suppliers, I do not accept any responsibility for or liability in respect to the content of those sites and the owners do not have any connection, commercial or otherwise with my business.

Data Storage

The data collected is stored electronically “in the cloud” via my Wix website dashboard and/or downloaded to a secure external hard drive. Security measures have been set in place with multiple passwords (which are changed and updated regularly, 2 step verification, windows defender, antivirus software and external hard drive locked away when not in use.

 

Data Disclosure

Your data will not be sold or rented to a third party. Your data may, however, be shared with professional advisers including lawyers, bankers, and insurers in the event of pursuance or defence of legal claims. In sudden unfortunate events beyond my control, should I not be physically able to, my partner has permission to access your contact information to cancel and explain the situation.

I do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave my website, I encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.

I reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website so that you are aware of what information I collect, how  I use it, and under what circumstances, if any, I use and/or disclose it.

Under data protection laws you have rights concerning your data that include the right to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, transfer, to object to processing, to portability of data and (where the lawful ground of processing is consent) to withdraw consent. You can see more about these rights here on the Information Commissioner’s Office website. Provided that the minimum period has elapsed, you can request to be forgotten. If you wish to exercise any of your rights, you can contact the Data Controller (myself). I will respond to all legitimate requests as soon as I have confirmed your identity and within a 30-day timescale. This service is completely free of charge and if you are not satisfied with my response, you also have the right to raise the matter with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
