Appointments booked prior to 9:00 am or after 5:00 pm on weekdays, as well as appointments on Sundays and Bank Holidays, will be subject to an additional fee of £5.00.

Booking Process & Deposits

  1. To initiate the preliminary booking process, please get in touch with your preferred date and the time you need to be ready by and if you’re flexible with time.

  2. If you're a new client, I'll need your email address to set up your profile on the Fresha system.

  3. Once we agree on the date and time, I'll send you a preliminary booking confirmation email.

  4. Please follow the instructions in the email and secure your appointment with a deposit within 48 hours.

  5. Upon receiving your deposit, you'll receive a final email confirmation, and I'll be notified that you have secured and confirmed your appointment.

Please note that failure to secure the appointment with a deposit within 48 hours will result in a cancellation of the preliminary booking, and the time slot will become available for others to secure. I kindly ask you to make your deposit promptly within the timeframe given to avoid any inconvenience.

Deposits are non-refundable as they secure your appointment date and cover various expenses, including the cost of required products. Deposits also encompass administrative tasks such as communication, answering client inquiries, product research, financial checks, the cost of running the business, and compensating for partial loss of earnings resulting from cancellations. This measure ensures that I can continue providing high-quality services and maintain an efficient booking system for all my clients.

Package Deals

The booking process and policy for group packages is just like individual appointments, with the exception that all appointments must be booked and secured together as a package to qualify for the discounted rate. The person who books in will have all of the time slots for the makeup appointment so everyone knows what time to arrive at the studio. Please note that one person is responsible for securing the entire package by making the deposit payment. Once the package is secured, it is the responsibility of the group to organize and distribute payment amongst themselves. This ensures a smooth and efficient booking process for everyone involved.

Deposit Transfer

While your deposit is non-refundable, it is transferable once. The rescheduled appointment must take place within 3 months of the original date, subject to availability. The deposit transfer is only honoured is you provide at least 48 hour cancellation notice.

Your Appointment

Appointment duration can vary depending on various reasons but are based on 60 minutes. During the consultation, we will discuss your desired look and I will adapt it to best suit your features and preferences. Proper skin preparation is essential for a flawless makeup application so this is included specifically for your skin type to ensure longevity. Although skin prep is included I ask that you please come to your appointment with a clean, bare face to ensure the best possible results. While I am a professional makeup artist, I understand that everyone has their unique preferences and perceptions of beauty. Towards the end of your appointment you will have time to make any adjustment and I will work closely with you to ensure that the final look aligns with your vision and makes you feel confident and beautiful.

Time Management

Although every attempt will be made to keep to appointment time slots, it is crucial to recognize that unexpected events like client delays, contra-actions, or even health issues may arise meaning appointments can run over for a number of reasons. When booking your appointment always give yourself extra time. Please arrive at your appointment time with no makeup. There is a 10 minute grace period, however, if this exceeds 15 minutes, cancellation may be necessary depending on time constraints.

Client Cancellation

You can cancel any services booked at any time in writing with no cancellation fee. You pay a 50% non-refundable deposit that covers your cancellation. If you provide at least 48 hour cancellation notice, your 50% non-refundable deposit transfer will be honoured as stated in the Deposit Transfer Section.

Makeup Artist Cancellation

If I am made to feel uncomfortable in any way, mistreated, if anyone displays any offensive behaviour, or if anyone becomes abusive I have the right to cancel there and then. You understand that I have the right to refuse and cancel services should it put yourself, myself, other clients, my family or home, at risk from cross-infection of any type of infectious diseases and or conditions.

If I cannot work due to a government act, regulation, a change of law or general guidance and advice, you understand that I have no choice but to cancel the services booked for me to abide by the law.

In the unlikely event, that I have to cancel due to illness, health reasons or unforeseen circumstances I will try to give as much notice as possible, this excludes sudden unfortunate events beyond my control. I will do my best to source an alternative makeup artist. In this circumstance, I will refund any deposit or advance payment you have made as a goodwill gesture. I will refund within 28 days from the date I cancelled unless the cancellation is due to severe ill health, in which case refunds may take longer.

In the event something should happen to me, someone will contact you on my behalf explaining the situation.

Infection Prevention Policy & Covid-19 Protocols

Your health and safety, as well as that of my family, is of the utmost importance to me. As someone who works from home and is vulnerable due to multiple health conditions, I take every precaution to protect not just my clients but my family and myself.

Good hygiene and sanitation techniques, along with strict health & safety protocols have always been in place. However, following the coronavirus pandemic, the Infection Prevention Policy has been revised to safeguard everyone's well-being even further.

Despite the laws and rules now being relaxed by the government, I will still be keeping the following protocols in place until further notice for the reasons explained above. I kindly ask that clients respect these measures, as by working together, we can minimize the risk of infections and keep everyone safe and healthy.

  • Appointments - Appointments at the studio are strictly by appointment only. The standard intervals between clients are maintained to guarantee a clean and sanitized environment for all clients.

  • Cleaning and sanitation - My home, makeup studio, makeup kit will be kept clean and sanitised to prevent the spread of any contagious illnesses including covid-19 virus. Reusable equipment, tools, client chair and workstation will be cleaned and sanitised after each appointment. Disposable gowns are available for each client wanting to protect their clothing. Disposable brushes will be used for any clients displaying contraindications that restrict makeup application.

  • Ventilation & PPE - The studio window will be open during appointments and/or in between clients to help refresh the air and reduce viruses. The studio French doors that lead into the hallway will also be opened to let the air circulate and further dilute any airborne viruses. Although no longer a legal requirement, I may be wearing a grade II mask during appointments especially during winter time.

  • Illnesses - I kindly request that you cancel your appointment if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, including but not limited to:

    • COVID-19: fever, cough, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell

    • Flu: fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, fatigue

    • Common cold: runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, cough, congestion

    • Stomach viruses: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

These illnesses are highly contagious and can easily be transmitted in close-contact settings like a makeup studio. As a vulnerable individual, contracting an illness could result in severe complications and a longer recovery period, preventing me from working and serving my clients.

If I am experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness, there is a high chance I will need to cancel your appointment. In cases where my symptoms are mild and I feel able to work, such as with a common cold, I will leave the decision to keep or cancel your appointment up to you. Please note that I will wear PPE, but cannot guarantee that you will not contract the illness if you choose to keep your appointment. This decision will be based on my individual circumstances and professional judgment, as these illness can exacerbate my existing health condition, result in complications, prolong recovery and return to work.

Photography & Video

If time allows and with prior consent, I would love to take photos and or videos of your makeup to help me promote my business. Photos and videos would potentially be used for my website and social media platforms at any time in the future and I would not be required additional permission each time they are used. Consent is obtained on the consultation form, and you have to actively opt in to give permission. You can of course withdraw consent at any time in writing.
